PSP provided me with a strong foundation to launch and accelerate my career. I left PSP with enhanced analytical and problem-solving ability, extensive client engagement experience and exposure to senior executives of many Australian organisations. All of these have already differentiated me from my a number of my peers at business school.

I am also pleased to have worked in an environment that strives to deliver quality and value to clients whilst ensuring employees maintain balance in their lives. In this industry, this is a rare and unique combination, one which I appreciated greatly.

What attracted me most to PSP initially, was the quality of its stationery and the mountain of free snacks. I soon discovered much to my pleasant surprise however, that the firm's much vaunted low leverage operating model was very real. This saw me work alongside Directors on engagements, allowing for accelerated growth and responsibility. This model is also what drives the firm's unrivaled work life balance culture in the Australian consulting sector. There isn't that layer of management between an Associate and Director, which keeps junior consultants working longer hours at the larger firms. During my time at PSP, I obtained my Pilot's Licence, founded a charity with a colleague, played competition paintball and was the head of consulting for a young professionals consulting firm that worked with not-for-profits. I achieved all this while working full-time and with the full support of the firm.

As a consequence of having the time to work on my social activities, a dormant passion for bettering the lives of others was kindled within me. I now find myself at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, learning how to solve the big picture social problems.

Loved my time at Pacific Strategy: I built a strong set of analytical, business and communication skills that not only allowed me to stand out among my wider peer group but that were also transferable across a very wide range of job types / careers.

In my subsequent roles I was immediately valuable because of this set of skills and my level of maturity. I also built a very strong network which facilitated my ability to move laterally so that I could try operations consulting. All this was instrumental in gaining acceptance to MIT. Now I working in my dream job where I am very happy. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Pacific Strategy.

"I had significant access to director level consultants within Pacific Strategy and executive level management at the client which provided excellent learning and development and improved my maturity both personally and professionally."

I’ve now moved into a corporate role having fond memories of my time in the Pacific Strategy office. It’s nice to drop back into PSP and catch up with the team.

"I enjoyed the great combination of stimulating projects for blue-chip clients, the "work-smart and enjoy life" culture and the fun-filled high-performance people."

I left Pacific Strategy to get my MBA at Kellogg. I am now in between my first and second year of school and doing an internship in marketing at the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The work and training I did with Pacific Strategy also prepared me for my classes in school and gave me an important skill set that I will use throughout my career.

I also had the pleasure of working with a group of very smart, dedicated and friendly people and hope to find myself at more places like Pacific Strategy throughout my career.

"My time at Pacific Strategy helped to solidify my business fundamentals and enhance my strategic thinking skills."

I joined Pacific Strategy straight out of uni and could not have asked for a better springboard for my career. Pacific Strategy's lower leverage model means lots of responsibility, exposure and impact from day one - I'll never forget being hired on a Thursday, picking up my laptop on Friday and meeting senior clients the following Monday!

It's been more than 3 years since I left Pacific Strategy to study and work overseas, but I still feel very much a part of the Pacific Strategy family.  It's rare for me to go more than a couple of months without being in touch with someone I met through the company (even though I'm half a world away!).

For me, it's the combination of interesting work, great learning opportunities and the fun, caring and talented people which makes Pacific Strategy a special place.

"In addition, the coaching and learning opportunities I had at Pacific Strategy were fantastic and rival experiences I have today at a much larger firm."
